My process begins with understanding a client's vision, pain points, resources, and goals. I then use ADDIE - SAM for more Agile projects - to guide me as I support the client with meeting their goal.
Review contract for materials output.
Plan for kickoff client meeting to level set (e.g., identify timeline, resources, etc.).
Identify client expectations and pain points.
Access operational tools, systems, visual/style guides, reference materials, for discovery and information gathering.
Perform needs analysis for gaps and opportunities.
Access source material [user stories, use cases, customer experience journeys, operations manual(s), system design/
architecture plans, elaborated requirements.
Establish training materials governance and develop foundational templates.
Apply Kirkpatrick/
Bloom's Taxonomy model to design content outline including audience, objectives, and primary skills-building activities.
Apply project standards to develop training materials (video, WBT, user guide, and JA) in authoring tools.
Continuously validate material for accurate documentation.
Revise, edit, and monitor materials through quality review.
Apply internal and client feedback to materials and finalize for implementation/
production.
Survey training results after implementation
Compare initial project goals to outcomes
Participate in lessons learned with client.
